Performance Conduct
 
Punctuality
  • Students are to arrive 15 to 20 minutes prior to the performance time. During this time, they are to put their shoes and socks on and start stretching and warming up.
  • Students are expected to arrive dressed and ready to go.
Attire
  • Dependent on the particular performance, the student will be advised prior to the event what costume is required to be worn.
  • Bubble socks, or plain white socks are to be worn
  • Irish shoes, or black jiffy shoes can be worn by beginner dancers
  • Adult dancers are to wear 70 dennier black stockings
 
Hair
  • Students are to wear their hair pulled up into a high bun. Fringes are to be pinned back - no whispy bits permitted
  • No colour hairspray permitted
  • No hair pieces, clips or headbands are permitted
 
Makeup
  • No makeup is permitted unless previously outlined by the teachers.
 
Behaviour
  • Students are expected to follow the Class Conduct rules on behaviour
  • Students are to stay with the group for the entire duration of the performance
  • Students are expected to maintain a respectable image for the entire duration of the performance.
  • Students that are not listening, or are not available when called for a dance, will be omitted from that dance. Please note, that this will affect the other students in that group and may result in other students also missing out on that dance.
  • Students are required to bring a water bottle to all performances
  • No eating is permitted during a performance
